Guest posting is a great way to build your following and brand recognition, particularly if you are just starting out. Some people have gotten hundreds of email subscribers from guest posting and a link from an authority site can also help your site get more search engine traffic. However, one of the biggest challenges for getting featured on a high traffic blog is finding good guest post ideas.
So how do you find guest post ideas that you can pitch to high quality authority blogs? Here are a few ideas.
Conducting surveys is a great way to get valuable information from people. Survey data can be used to write compelling articles, gain a better understanding of your customer’s needs, or even predict outcomes of campaigns.

Blogging and content marketing are becoming increasingly important for promoting businesses online. Setting up content for effective social sharing can greatly increase the viral nature of content distribution and get you more visitors for each article you write.
In this article, I want to talk about how I accidentally increased social sharing for a blog post on my blog. The post was title 101+ Source for Blog Content Ideas and I was using email outreach to let people know about the post since it was a new blog.
About half way through my email outreach campaign, I made some adjustments to the post to make it more sharable. One of the things that I did was add a text based image to the top of the post, which basically contained the title of the post and some graphic elements.
The post was published in July of 2013 and since then has received 52 Pinterest shares. And this is on a new blog with little previous exposure. The Pinterest sharing on this post accounts for nearly half of the social shares on this post – which was a surprise since I was mostly trying to generate sharing through Twitter.
Finding topics for blog posts on an ongoing basis can be intimidating for beginner bloggers. But there are actually many ways that bloggers and content writers can find a never ending supply of content ideas.
Creating great content is critical and becoming even more important, not just for bloggers, but all website owners. Great content will get you higher search engine rankings from more links, increased visitors and subscribers, and credibility.
So in this post I tried to create the most comprehensive list of the best ideas for finding blog content topics. You don’t have to use them all, but find a few that work for you and be sure to bookmark this post in case you need more ideas in the future:
